Surgical steel or titanium earrings?

Titanium is 100% nickel free, although surgical steel does contain nickel .

We advise people with a nickel allergy who also react to things like trouser buttons or the steel of glasses to wear titanium earrings . These are very suitable if you have a nickel allergy .

Very occasionally, people do experience a reaction to surgical steel. Your earlobe may feel a little warmer, redder, or more painful.

Because there are two types of nickel allergies, it's worth seeing if my tea tree oil tip helps. Surgical steel is much cheaper than titanium, and you have a much wider choice of surgical steel earrings than titanium earrings.

Remove the surgical steel studs and follow this advice.

Buy a bottle of tea tree oil . Dilute 1 drop of tea tree oil with 1 drop of water. Rub the studs with this oil and put the earrings back in.

You will notice that you no longer get a response.

If you still have reactions, titanium earrings are the best option. But in my experience, this tip works for 95% of people, so it's definitely worth a try.

Stud earrings are NOT piercing earrings and therefore do not have a sharp point.
